Ma Xianli, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, Tang Shengwei, Secretary General of the Organizing committee, Tong Zhangfa, deputy director of the Organizing committee, Dong Lichun, chief referee of the competition, Hu Likun, Deputy director of the Academic Affairs Office and Director of the Teacher Development Center, and Zhou Liya, Party secretary and President of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Guangxi University, attended the opening ceremony. The "Renault Team" led by teachers Zhang Linye, Xiong Deyuan and Qin Yuben from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of our school won the special prize of the competition with their excellent performance.
In his opening speech, Ma Xianli pointed out that the construction and development of new engineering, deepening the reform of engineering education in colleges and universities, forming an engineering education system with Chinese characteristics and world level, and training more new high-quality engineering talents are important tasks for the reform and development of higher education in the new era. Our school will strive to run the competition well and contribute wisdom to the development of chemical engineering and technology disciplines and the construction of new engineering.
A total of 48 teams from Sichuan University, Chongqing University, Guangxi University, Guizhou University and other universities participated in the contest. The competition includes theoretical examination, virtual simulation and on-site experimental operation examination, etc. After many rounds of competition, the "Renault team" composed of Teng Weiquan, Luo Bingxin and Sun Jiahao from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of our university stood out among many participating teams and won the special prize.
It is understood that the competition has produced a total of 8 grand prizes, 16 first prizes, 24 second prizes, 12 excellent instructor awards, 3 students with excellent chemical principles, 6 awards for excellence in theoretical knowledge of chemical principles, 5 awards for simulation competition of chemical principles and 4 awards for experimental teams of chemical principles. Among them, the grand prize winning team will be recommended to participate in the national finals in August.
