On May 31, Professor Wu Pingxiao, doctoral supervisor of the School of Environment and Energy of South China University of Technology and selected of the Ministry of Education's "New Century Outstanding Talents Support Program", was invited to our hospital to give a special report on "Interface reaction mechanism and application of clay environmental functional Materials and pollutants". The report was chaired by Professor Tong Zhangfa of our college, and more than 100 teachers and student representatives attended the report.

Professor Wu Pingxiao introduced the research work and future application prospects of clay-based materials such as alloxite polymerization conversion materials, copper-magnesium-manganese hydrotalcite, biochar-clay composite materials in the treatment of soil and water pollution. Regarding the issues related to clay materials and environmental pollution control, Professor Wu Pingxiao and the participating teachers and students held a warm discussion at the meeting, patiently answering the doubts raised by the teachers and students. The lecture atmosphere was rich, and the participating teachers and students benefited a lot.
